I wrote this song in March of 2013 in Tegallalang, Bali, Indonesia. This area is, in my opinion, one of the finest places on the Earth.

This is the title track from the album. I seem to have confused some people with these lyrics. Many have asked me "What does it mean?" or said "I don't get it." As always, I cannot really explain in other words what I have already said with the lyrics of any song that I have written. I know that is not a particularly satisfying answer for those folks seeking more, but I stand by it.

This song went through a lot of changes. It originally had alto and tenor saxophones all over it, played by both Leo Dombecki and myself, but something just wasn't right with it. We both put in a lot of work on this tune, right up until Leo was about to head out on a tour. Shortly before his departure he was kind enough to ask if I wanted to borrow his Fender Jazzmaster guitar while he was out on the road. An offer which I of course accepted! I ended up using that guitar to record all of the lead guitar parts on this song and I scratched all of the sax except for Leo's beautiful alto solo that introduces the bridge section. When Leo returned from the tour and I played the reworked track for him he was stoked! I was too. In fact, I still am.
